Engineering offers an exciting and challenging career, but inspiring young people to pursue this subject is not easy. As the UK celebrates a Year of Engineering, this talk highlights one engineer’s exciting and rewarding career moving from industry to starting her own business to design, build and sell 3D printers from her home county of Worcestershire in the UK.
Revathi Timms is a 3D printing enthusiast and has specifically designed a 3D Printer, the Ingenium, tailored for the education sector. She has a degree in Applied Sciences (physics, mathematics and electronics) and an MSc in lean manufacturing.
She worked as both a project manager and business development manager before founding Avatar Enterprise Ltd to create a new 3D printer and provide training and education in this sector. Revathi lives in north Worcestershire.
